50th Annual IAGLR Meeting logo

School for Scientists

A half-day professional development program will be sponsored by COSEE Great Lakes at the 50th Annual Meeting of the International Association for Great Lakes Research (IAGLR). Topics will focus on improvement of educational outreach capacity for scientists, such as: “So your proposal needs an education component,” “Planning your classroom visit,” “What do teachers really want from a career day talk,” etc. A combination of panels, presentations and discussions is planned.

IAGLR will be hosted by Penn State University at University Park, Pennsylvannia from May 28 - June 1, 2007. The specific schedule for the School for Scientists has not been announced yet.
